Like most surgical procedures, there is a recovery period that you will need to go through following your breast augmentation. Thankfully, the recovery period for the procedure is not incredibly lengthy or painful, however, there are a few things you should expect that will help you to prepare for the process.

You will be able to return home the same day as your surgery so you can recover in the comfort of your own home. You will need to have someone drive you home after your procedure. Your breasts will be bandaged and wrapped following your breast augmentation.

You can expect to experience some bruising, swelling, tenderness, and discomfort during your recovery period. A surgical bra will need to be worn during the initial part of the recovery process to provide support and minimize swelling. Pain is generally well tolerated and can be managed with medication.

You will need to spend around two or three weeks recovering before you can resume most normal activities. More strenuous activities like heavy lifting, running, and exercise will need to be avoided for four or six weeks. It will take several months of recovery before you see the final results of your breast augmentation.

Our team will be sure to provide you with a full list of post-operative instructions to help you throughout the recovery process.
